Reflection of EDUC-8842

As I think back over the last quarter, I digest all that I've learned from being in this class. As a doctoral student in Management with a specialty in "Learning Management", I wonder why the theory and curriculum classes are not incorporated into my program. How can the student possibly understand learning management without understanding or being exposed to the theories and tools within the distant learning environment? There is a sprinkle here and there, but a huge deficiency exist! For some reason, I elected " The Efficacy of Curriculum Within 3D Multi-User Environments" as a possible dissertation topic. What trouble would I have been in if I didn't lobby to take classes from the education department? I've substituted KAM VII for three classes within the EDU's "Curriculum Specialty" program. I'm so thankful I did because my understanding of distance education was equitable to a high level conversation based on proprietary products at the most!

Although a little bit behind the eight ball in terms of the students who are in the Edu department, I'm holding my ground. My classmates for this session were extremely supportive and helpful--Thank You! Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed the class. My portfolio of skills have expanded due to this class. I've learned DL theories, how to create a video, communicate via SKYPE, and create a blog! I'm 100% sure that due to taking this class and the other two I've scheduled, my dissertation will be a much easier task!
